JAC Chandigarh Eligibility Criteria

Before registering for the JAC Chandigarh 2026 Counselling, candidates must strictly ensure they meet the minimum eligibility requirements. Admissions into the B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch programs in Chandigarh's premier technical institutes are based on the candidate's academic qualifications, qualifying marks percentage, and valid JEE Main scores.

• Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination (or equivalent) from a recognized Central or State Board.
• Subject Requirements: Must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
• Minimum Percentage: A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD categories).
• Entrance Exam: Must possess a valid All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2026 (Paper-1).

• Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized Central or State Board, or passed a 10+3 Diploma examination.
• Subject Requirements: Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
• Minimum Percentage: A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 level or 10+3 Diploma examination.
• Entrance Exam: Must possess a valid All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2026 (Paper-2).

JAC Chandigarh divides its total seat matrix into two major pools, providing a significant advantage to local students while welcoming candidates nationwide:

• Chandigarh Quota (85% Seats): Reserved for candidates who have completed their 12th standard qualifying examination from schools or colleges located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh and recognized by the Chandigarh Administration.
• All India Quota (15% Seats): Open to all candidates across India who have passed their qualifying 12th examination from any recognized board outside the UT of Chandigarh.
